Grayson Thomas Orr (he/they) is a bisexual director and producer from Las Vegas, Nevada, recognized for a bold narrative voice and a genre‑bending approach that continues to shape their emerging presence within the independent film landscape. As a director, their films have screened at Crypt TV, Torino Underground Cinefest, Cinema Diverse: The Palms LGBTQ+ Film Festival and the Las Vegas Film Festival. Their latest short film, Ashamed, has received a nomination for Best Drama at the Shameless Plus Film Festival. Most recently they have worked as an associate producer on the AFI DWW+ Short film Royal Blood directed by Bianca Catbagan starring Li Jun Li and Malia Pyles with executive producer Lilly Wachowski.
Their professional experience includes collaborations with the Sundance Filmmaker Labs, the Sundance Film Festival, and numerous other creative initiatives that inform their multidisciplinary perspective. Additionally, Grayson has worked as a senior programmer at the Las Vegas Film Festival as well as a screener for The Gotham Project Market.
Currently based in the Los Angeles area, Grayson continues to create films that challenge conventional form, provoke thoughtful engagement, and foster meaningful connection with audiences. They are working on their next short film and developing their first feature film with producer Andrea A. Walter.
